A gender-based violence recovery centre has been launched in Nakuru.
The centre is equipped with recovery, counselling and consultation sections. It is the 18th of the 36 centres that Liverpool VCT Care and Treatment organsation plans to put up.
A programmes officer in the ministry of Public Health and Sanitation David Onyaberi was speaking during the launch at the Rift Valley General Hospital. “In a bid to curb gender violence, the ministry has identified several hot spots associated with particular kind of violence,” said Onyaberi.
