The Safaricom Foundation has partnered with the Club and Menengai Oil to support more than 300 cancer patients at Nakuru Hospice.

The patients received cancer manuals, foot massage, nutritional advice, soap and oil, as part of Safaricom’s collective corporate social responsibility. Menengai Oil’s managing director Onkar Rai said the partnership advocates for healthy living.

“We are committed to promoting a healthy diet and an active lifestyle, as a key to preventing the early onset of cancer which is increasingly robbing our country of human resources,” he said. Hospice chairman Timothy Olweny said that the institution is experiencing financial constraints.
