The Aga Khan Hospital. Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya, which is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network The hospital Is part of a network of health facilities, which includes Hospitals and Outreach health facilities across East Africa.

The Aga Khan Hospital is in an exciting growth phase and has attained acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification, 15015189:2012 accreditation for laboratory services and is moving towards Joint Commission International Accreditation. The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has also expanded its services to Kisii, Kakamega, Kitale, Bungoma, Kericho. Busia and Homa Bay Counties.

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Manager-Human Resources the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of the whole spectrum of talent development, performance management, and human resource customer: are management to Outreach Health Centers to support quality health care.

Assistant Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Generally contribute to the formulation and implementation of Human resource policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the review/formulation and Implementation of Talent development policy and plans
  • Undertake Talent development Needs Analysis
  • Coordinate Performance Measurement and review
  • Participate In the Implementation of HRIS
  • Deliver Executive Administration services and management reports
  • Coordinate Human resources Surveys
  • Participate In management of Work place conflicts
  • Provide general HR relationship services to the Outreach Health Centers
  • Support effective processing and management of payroll.

Requirements for the Assistant Manager Job

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management. Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management /Organizational Development or Diploma in Industrial Relations.
  • Master s Degree in the relevant field an added advantage.
  • Over six years relevant work experience three (3) of which should be in middle management.
  • Member of a recognized HR professional body.
  • Strategic leadership and management skills.
  • Complex problem solving and judgement and decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages.
  • HR metrics and analytics skills.
